Marketplace

The Marketplace is the one place members publish work for each other: a thesis (a match others can join and judge), a graph (a saved Canvas or strategy graph) or an institution (a Society snapshot with its seats, governance and biases). One publish surface, three kinds — the kind is a filter, not a separate shop. It lives inside the Exchange, next to Matches and the Observatory.

It replaces the earlier Library (also labelled Graph Exchange), retired on 1 September 2026. The Library's listings were cleared; publishing starts again here, with evidence attached to every listing.

By design

No star ratings, no comment threads, no boosts, no return leaderboards. Nothing here can be bought with chips or sparks. Disagree with a listing? Judge the author's theses, or fork it and publish your variant — the lineage keeps both visible.

Browsing

One list with kind facets (All · Theses · Graphs · Institutions, with counts), sort (Latest · Most adopted · Best record) and a search over title, description and author. Each kind has its own card:

• Thesis — the match's live state: BLIND · n judged · reveals …, REVEALED · price or SETTLED · outcome. Opening it takes you to the match page, where you judge blind like any participant. Judging a published thesis credits its author.
• Graph — an evidence bar: how many of the graph's operators are self-certified, e.g. 7 / 9 operators self-certified, with the gap named — 2 not yet self-certified — shown, not hidden — plus the fork count and, if the graph is itself a fork, its generation.
• Institution — its own Exchange record: n scored · hit rate · Brier, or No settled record yet.

A listing page

• Description in plain language, answering three questions — what it does · where it holds · what it does not claim — plus applicability: assets, horizon, and where it was not tested.
• Evidence · machine-judged (graphs) — one row per operator, read from the operator atlas at publish time, with three checks: an independent reference test, an Active reference card, and an integrity attestation. An operator is self-certified when it has a reference test or an attestation and an Active card; data-source nodes are exempt from the test. Unknown operators are listed too. Grey means published but not yet self-certified — shown, never hidden — and the panel turns green by itself when pending tests land. The author cannot edit this panel.
• Provenance — the content identifier of the published snapshot. Every fork points at this exact version.
• Lineage — the chain of generations from the root listing to this one, and how many forks it has produced, all recorded in the event ledger.
• Since publication — forks, likes and, for theses, judgements, computed by the platform. Re-running published graphs on new data to show how their stated claims held up is planned, not yet live.
• Author's Exchange record — theses settled, hit rate, Brier: a record, not a promise.

Fork, like, watch

• Fork into my Canvas / Fork into my Society copies the snapshot — private cells already stripped — into your own space with its lineage, and credits the author 5 sparks (once per member). Forking never costs you anything. Theses are not forked; you join them.
• Like — one per member, never your own; credits the author 1 spark.
• Watch a listing or an author: activity on watched listings appears in your Home What's new card.
• Unpublish — the owner withdraws a listing at any time; a withdrawn thesis returns to private.

Sparks recognise contribution. They are not money, they are never produced by how a match settles, and they cannot buy visibility.

Publishing

+ Publish… runs in four steps:

1. What are you publishing? — Thesis, Graph or Institution (Applications: later).
2. Pick it and say what it is for — choose from your own matches, saved graphs or institution snapshots; write the title and the three-question description (at least 20 characters) and the applicability. Keep to what the evidence panel can back — no performance claims.
3. Evidence — filled in for you — graphs: every operator is checked against the operator atlas and private cells are stripped from the snapshot; institutions: the snapshot is stripped of private cells and its Exchange record is read from the ledger; theses: the match itself is the evidence — sealed judgements, reveal price, pre-registered settlement.
4. Who can see it — Members · Marketplace lists it for every member; Private link keeps it off the Marketplace list — only people with the link can open it, and forks or likes of it earn no sparks. Obvious performance claims in the title or description (guaranteed returns, risk-free, X % a year, beats the market) are refused at publish.
